Bio: Hello, my name is Stephen G. Wilson. I'm a freelance illustrator based in Glasgow, Scotland. I received the 2008 Award for Advanced Graphics from The Trades House of Glasgow, and was awarded Top Student in Visual Communication 2007-2008 by the Metropolitan College, where I studied for my HND. I have experience in a wide range of media and styles, with an emphasis towards Adobe Illustrator. If you wish to contact me about possible work, please consult the Contact page for details.
Although I'm interested in any creative work, ultimately I would like to write and illustrate poems and stories for children. Authors and illustrators who've influenced my style include Lewis Carroll, John Tenniel, Alphonse Mucha, Jack Kirby, Edward Gorey, Maurice Sendak, Colin McNaughton, Kevin Nowlan, Mike Mignola, Roger Langridge, Joe Sorren and d'Holbachie-Yoko. I have worked with BBC Scotland and provide freelance work for the Scottish Daily Express. In my spare time I mostly eat sandwiches and grow moustaches. Cheers! |
